Dear BJP/RSS its time to look “right” economically….!!!

The battle for the power between left and right in India that began in 2014 is just starting to heat up ahead of the 2019 elections. 2014 is when India supposedly moved right of center to give a thumping majority to the so called ‘Right Wing” of India.’ Acche din Anna wale Hain’ was the card sold , ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas’ was the key connect that drove the masses to BJP. The BJP voters and online supporters enthusiastically wore the badge of ‘ Bahtks’ and “Right wing”. On the social front the lines are more or less defined quite well between the Right and Left wing and the issues handled with clarity, but what about economics? The economics in the west is well defined and the elections are fought more on economic issues than on social.   There the left means socialists economics more off government redistribution model while the right is for the free market, businesses and less government interference. The story of India is different.   Both   RSS which was formed in the pre inde

Crackers ban and why I took a counter position ….!!!!

As the Diwali season comes to close lot of people who know me, know my irritated statements regarding the crackers ban or should I say restricted use of crackers during diwali , lot of people found my position regressive , outlandish and illogical. Here is the reason that I busted crackers probably after a span of 10 years and why I think it’s time to speak up against this fake activism.  Could anyone seriously give me the logic of restrictions on crackers, what exactly are green crackers and etc that the courts had it in its verdict as permissible? Can anyone sight a serious study that has been done regarding the impact of crackers on air and noise pollution…! When people talk about pro poor majors elsewhere has anyone given a serious study about how this sudden regulations impacted the crackers industry which is largely MSME. When I raise this valid legitimate questions the usual feedback is I am a BJP right wing bhakt and so on…!! How does raising valid questions be termed partis

Mulund East : Has BJP coming to power made any difference ?

The recent Mumbai floods has brought the regional party Shiv Sena under a lot of criticism that at the State of mismanagement at the BMC which the Shiv Sena has ruled for 25 years and a staunch Sena support will also at best like to avoid. This was shown in the BMC elections also as the Shiva Sena which fought without BJP just managed an equal vote share with the party at the center  putting them at equals in the overall city at 84 and 82 respectively. But a granular survey of the elections to our concerned area show a different picture. Mulund was different . A predominantly Sena  stronghold if I might as at least for the BMC elections had a different verdict to offer to the power. Mulundkars as if almost frustrated by the non performance of their Sena and NCP corporates wanted a change , the change the nation brought about in 2014. It wanted decisive people who can solve their problems. They wanted actions on ground at their ever own beloved Mulund and thus filled with all thi

Why I Support Shivaji Maharaj’s Statue in Mumbai’s Arabian Sea….!!!!

As we celebrate yet another Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, in Maharashtra there has been a debate going that why do we require a Shivaji Statue in Mumbai. We require jobs, education healthcare and infrastructure in the country. How is Shivaji statue going to solve the problem. Shivaji himself would have opposed of building of the statue over the cause of larger national good so on and so forth. While this arguments are valid and in the ideal society we should walk by the principles and the guidelines Shivaji Maharaj rather than creating Statues, but the fact remains that we hardly ever live in a idealistic world and thus to look at issues in a binary model is always almost impossible. Hence amongst all the noise about the statue I want to put why “I want” argument for the Shivaji Statue. But what has Shivaji done to the history of India, why he should be considered   amongst the greatest Indians to have taken birth and why is it necessary for the entire India   not only Mharashtra to respe

Maharashtra Bandh….. !!!!

Everybody is familiar what happened in Mumbai and throughout different parts of Maharashtra last week. Weekend and life has returned back to normalcy except for firey discussions on social media about the immortal problem of caste system in India. This is when one of my friend asked me to pen down what you had to suffer during the bandh and do u agree with the band was conducted. The questions we are trying to deal here is very narrow and before I come to the main topic lest dwell a little on the caste construct and Bhima Koregaon. Lets first face the fact that caste is something that is here to stay in the Indian society for a long time whether we like it or not. Also a lot of people feeling agitated about the system are mostly from the upper caste not having any benefits to draw from the system currently. Let them all be reminded that only a few hundred years ago it was you who were the beneficiaries of that system and also resisted the change and inclusion as you enjoyed the pr

The Hypocrisy of the left and the English media in India…!!!

The death of Gauri Lankesh got massive attention in the English media which had by and large pronounced it’s verdict declaring the RSS and extreme right wing as her killers even before the authorities reached there and the investigations began. The English media who is always asking the same right wing to be tolerant and for following the due process and not jumping to the conclusion as in cases like JNU,   gave their verdict   instantly and started building their favorite narrative that because of the BJP government at power our freedom of speech and   expression is in serious threat and that journalists have fear for life for writing against government , the Hindutva ideology was named and shamed and everything was pointed out and made to be looked like a BJP committed crime by the so called media who is supposed to be unbiased and natural. The narrative build so strongly and unanimously form them that the youth who largely is English speaking in the urban India started believing

69 Years of Democratic India……..!!!!!!!!!!!

Today we celebrate or should I say spend just another independence day of our democratic country. 69 years have past since the time we 1st started governing our own country. I say so that we govern our country because we have been told that we are democratic .We believe in equality to all in every aspect and that everyone has a equal right and say in the deciding the nature and the path for our country. A very beautiful and the most idealistic approach to run a country .  The question now is do we really have understood the meaning of the word we Indians so boasts about whenever we speak about India as a nation . Do we really have anything to do with the nation that we are living in and have any real respect for it. I guess a huge question of debate. I believe we as a nation are very confused on our concept of democracy. Right from the 1st speech of the prime minister on 15th August till date I guess every prime minister of our country touches on the point of basic infrastructure l
